Virtual University of Pakistan commemorated 6th convocation for its students from North-East of Punjab on March 31, 2015 at Golf View Hall, Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Road in Sialkot. It is a matter of great honor that this Virtual University’s Convocation was the first ever convocation by any university in the beautiful and vibrant city of Sialkot. Chairman Higher Education Commission Punjab, Dr. Nizamuddin conferred degrees to the graduating students during the 6th Convocation of VU.
A total of 459 students were conferred degrees for the successful completion of various graduate degree programs. Gold medals and merit certificates were also awarded to outstanding graduates. An audience included proud parents, members of faculty, eminent personalities from academia, corporate and public sector attended the event.
The convocation was declared open by Dr. Naveed A Malik, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan. While addressing on this auspicious occasion he welcomed all the guests and thanked all participants for gracing the auspicious event with their presence.
Dr. Nizamuddin, along with Dr. Naveed A Malik distributed medals and awards to the high achievers to celebrate dedication in their respective disciplines.
The event was also attended by a special guest, famed singer Mr. Abrar ul haq who encouraged the students by sharing some of his personal experiences and entertained the concerns by reciting Hamd resulting in an exciting commemorative atmosphere.
